18 year old rookie, Aidan Fahey makes immediate impact for young De Pere Deacons hockey team. From the moment he stepped on the ice he displayed a quiet confidence. “You knew he was going to be a special player” Head Coach, Greg Nuthals. Fahey’s 1st game with the Deacons he scored 2 goals against the Eagle River Falcons. He would follow up with 2 goals in the next two games and put the GLHL on notice that he was the real deal. Fahey is 3rd on the Deacons in scoring through 12 games with 11 goals and 9 assists for 20 points midway in the season. An impressive 1.67 pts per game.

Aidan joined the Deacons this season with friend and teammate, Michael Stahl from the Pirates of Bay Port High School. Stahl has also been a welcome addition to the team at Defense and has logged a lot of minutes on the back end.

Fahey played 3 years of Varsity hockey for the Pirates, scoring 22 goals and 17 assists for 39 pts in 61 games, earning 2nd Team All-State honors his Junior and Senior seasons. During his Sophomore and Senior seasons, Bay Port was the Wisconsin State Sectional Runner-up to their Green Bay nemesis, Notre Dame.

He also played 3 years for the Green Bay Bobcats 18U Tier II National Tournament team.

Upon graduating from Bay Port High School, Fahey received Tender offers to play Tier II Junior A hockey from the North Iowa Bulls and the Odessa Jackalopes of the NAHL, but opted to pursue a career in Criminal Justice, from NWTC locally.

Coach Nuthals is thrilled that Aidan chose to stay in Green Bay and looks forward to seeing him in a Deacons uniform for many years to come.
